Whether you’re going on a trip around the world, you’re travelling from one side of Australia to another, or you’re going on the journey of a lifetime because you have Ariana Grande Tickets, the journey is all part of the holiday. If you’ve got a long flight coming up, you can’t let it get you down, so here are ten things to do with your time, so you don’t get bored.

Keep a Journal

Starting a journal of your trip is much better than just taking photos to remind you of exactly what was going on during your trip and how you felt.

Listen to a podcast

You’ve got the time, so make use of it and listen to a podcast. By the time you arrive, your knowledge base will have improved considerably or you will have just had a lovely soothing sleep.

Freshen up

Give yourself a personal spa treatment, remove your makeup, add a gentle moisturiser – in general, pamper yourself.

Smarten up your smartphone

Delete all those files clogging up your smartphone to free up more storage space; this is also an excellent time to go through your contacts and tidy those up too. When you land, you and your smartphone will be equally refreshed – ready for holiday snaps of your fantastic destination!

Binge on a boxset

Watch the whole series in one flight. If you plan it right and watch an episode every other hour, then by the time you arrive you’ll be up to speed and able to join in water cooler discussions at work when you return.

Chat to fellow passengers

Take a wander around the aircraft and see how many new friends you can make. People are in the same situation as you so are often wanting a bit of light conversation on a long flight. You’ll probably have something in common with some of your passengers, you might be from the same hometown, or going to the same place, or they might have been to your destination before so can give you some useful tips about where to go and what to see.

Breakout the playing cards

You’ll be surprised how many card games are international and if people don’t know your favourite game, then teach them and get it known internationally.

Get colourful with a colouring book

Complete a double page of your favourite colouring book. Take your time because not only do you have it, but some of these colouring books have detailed illustrations that require a bit of thought. You only need a small selection of colouring pencils, and you can create a beautiful masterpiece. It will also fit neatly into your travel journal and add some much-needed colour too.

Catch up on work

Work! And not because you need to but because you are in one of the few environments where you will ever get hours of focused work done without interruptions from texts, emails, meetings and phone calls.

Research your destination

Research where you’re going to in more detail, read that guide book to find gems of information that you might have missed previously.
