Visit the Shire of Montana and Immerse into the World of the Hobbit!

The Hobbit movies, as well as The Lord of the Rings movies, were all filmed in beautiful New Zealand where an entire family farm was transformed into a magical destination. While thousands of fans flock to that area every year to catch a glimpse of the movie set, most of those people do not realize that there is a small part of The Hobbit right here in the United States.

The Shire of Montana is a spectacular private guest home that is full of wonder and enchantment, allowing guests to step into another world, the world of the Hobbits.  This luxurious cabin can be found within the lush foothills of the Cabinet Mountains, which is within the Shire of Whitepine Valley.  The entire cabin has been designed to look like all the Hobbit houses that were described in detail in The Hobbit and featured in all the movies.

The Shire of Montana is not the place for young children or pets, which is why they are both excluded from being guests.  This may seem and sound harsh, but due to the intricacies of the details and furnishings and the smaller features, the house is simply not safe for those types of guests. Of course, children ages twelve and older are more than welcome, especially if they have read the books and watched all the movies.  This ensures that they will be able to find all those cherished details that have been placed inside the Shire of Montana.
