Going Glamping…

Decoration

If you want to add some glamour to your camping, think about decorating your site. You want to make it feel like a luxurious resort, and you want to feel at home. Therefore, introduce some nice flowers in a vase, small mirrors, artwork, colorful rugs, etc. It can be anything really, as long as it makes you feel cozy. For example, you can decorate your campsite’s picnic table as if you were hosting a dinner party – add candles, use china plates, bring wine glasses, etc. You might get a few awkward looks, but that’s only because people will be jealous of how much fun you’re having.

Lighting

Lighting can make all the difference, and it can turn a simple camping site into a fairytale. Besides the scented candles on your table, you can also use string lights and lanterns. You can place them strategically around your tent to create a comfortable and calming ambiance. If you choose a spot without electricity, you can also use solar-powered lanterns for some extra sustainable elegance, or you can use glow sticks for some extra fun.

Food

Camping usually revolves around simple meals that you can make quickly. However, since it is a glamorous experience, after all, the food should match the occasion. Plus, if you’re traveling to the campsite by car (or cars), you should have enough room for a cooler, cast iron, and as many ingredients as you might need. And to make things more interesting, you can have each of your friends plan a meal and compete to see whose turns out to be the most creative and delicious.

Cozy bedding

Having cozy bedding is a must, since there’s nothing less glamorous than chatting with your girlfriends while being in a sleeping bag. So, think about getting a soft sleeping mattress, some soft sheets, and, of course, a lot of pillows. You can even add a couple of soft rugs and bring your softest slippers with you. Expectations

No matter how perfect and glamorous the itinerary might look as you plan it, you shouldn’t have too high expectations. This is especially true if you’re going with friends whom you’ve never been in the same room for more than a day. Things can get heated up when people have different habits, ideas, and levels of tolerance. This is why everybody should get some alone time during the vacation, regardless of the fact that you’re on it together.
