Orlando, Florida is famous for 2 world class attractions – Disney World and Universal Studios. In this blog, I will focus on the first one.

This is a short and easy guide to follow, but do so carefully! Missing one step or doing something wrong can harm your whole vacation experience.

Step 1. Look for available hotels

Literally, the most important part of planning for one of the best vacations you will ever have is to plan where you are going to stay.

Once you have selected the dates you are going to be at Walt Disney World, now is the time to figure out where you are going to stay.

Yes, there are a lot of hotels, resorts, motels, housing around Walt Disney World, but there are also MANY of them that are constantly booked!

So you have to always check where you are going to stay before you do anything else.

(Step 1 and 2 coincide with one another)

Step 2. Plan your dates

With that being said you have to be cautious preparing your vacation because you have to make sure that whatever you want to do is available at the time you are going. Check out this guide on road trip tips while heading to Disney World.

The last thing you want to do is have everything ready and you go to Walt Disney World and you can’t enter the place you were planning on going because there are no tickets or availability at that time…

I highly recommend planning at least 6 months to a whole year in advance to be well prepared. You might think that I might be exaggerating, but I’m not, believe me. If you want to have a wonderful time and experience everything you want you to have to plan ahead with enough time because if not you won’t be able to do anything you want because everything will be booked.

That’s why this is an essential step in your planning that way you can secure you are going to experience what you are looking for.

Step 3. Purchase park tickets

Once you have done the 2 most important steps now is when you decide what parks you want to visit or what attractions do you want to see, or what events you want to experience.

As soon as you have confirmed where and when you are going to stay you should buy your tickets or admissions.

They may be available today, but you never know about tomorrow and since Walt Disney World is such a big world that stays constantly busy you don’t want to miss out your chance of not going because you took too long to buy your admissions.

Step 4. Pack adequately

Make sure you have everything you need to experience a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.

You might think this is unnecessary because you already know what you are going to take, but don’t be naïve we always tend to forget at least 1 or 2 things just because with no explanation.

So to help you guys out a bit I made a short checklist of some few essentials you shouldn’t forget!

  • Camera (VERY IMPORTANT!)
  • Sunblock
  • Enough clothes (for some reason we always tend to pack less then what we need)
  • Your admissions and tickets (seems redundant, but trust me we might forget them)
  • Phone chargers

Those are a few basics necessities, you don’t need much just make sure you spend quality time with your friends and family and capture the moments together.
