Boston is a unique city, in that its population is under 1 million people, yet it still offers an exciting myriad of activities and a lively city atmosphere without the overcrowding or excessive city vibe.

It is also a young city, full of college students attending one of its 35 colleges, so every night of the week offers vibrant experiences, many optimal for the young college crowd, but open to all ages as well.

There are many fun things to do in Boston, here are a few of my favorites to do with friends.

  1. ICA Friday nights

First Friday nights happen once a month at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), where the museum puts on fun events such as white-outs with music, virtual reality showings, + wine and food offerings, making a fun night out at the museum a reality.

Very fun to go with a group of friends to combine fun and culture.

  1. Lolita’s Restaurant

When friends visit me in Boston, without fail I always take them to Lolita’s, but of course make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance as otherwise there is no way you’ll get in.

Lolita’s is a laid back, funky restaurant with the best margaritas I’ve ever had. Plus they surprise you at the beginning with smoking tequila shaved ice and at the end of your meal everyone gets a free cotton candy stick covered in pop rocks.

Monday nights they also have all you can eat tacos for $5. Lolita’s is one of my favorite restaurants and fun to see with friends.

  1. The Escape Room Boston

Have friends who aren’t afraid of a little fun and adventure? The Escape Room is perfect to book for an active fun night out.

The Escape Room Boston offers different rooms and times you while you figure out the pieces to escape in under an hour for a unique experience.

  1. Top of The Hub

Top of the Hub is one of the highest restaurants in Boston offering gorgeous views of the city. Very fun to go with friends, eat, drink and soak in the beautiful views.

  1. Harpoon Brewery

Harpoon always puts on fun events that attract a big crowd of young adults, and is very fun to attend with friends, event or no event. Check their schedule to see if your visit lines up with a special event, if not feel free to visit and take a brewery tour as well as eat one of their big famously delicious pretzels with mustard sauce.

Have fun with your friends in Boston and let us know if you attended any of the above places with friends!
