In overall, travel industry has 3 main pillars: flights, hotels and things to do. Flights and hotels are clearly main players – with 35% and 40% respectively of total revenue. But, things to do industry didn’t see that amount of attention. Recently, there is some momentum in this direction and it’s going to grow significantly. There are already quite a lot websites, which are focused on things to do, attractions and museums. But, the truth is: majority of them still s*&k.

Museuly wants to be different.

  1. Museuly focuses on working directly with vendors. Majority of other sites – just resell tickets. This way we want to ensure exclusivity and cheapest prices possible.
  2. Booking experience for attractions and museums is still not there – there is not enough flexibility. E.g. I want to book tickets for a group or just for children. Most platforms don’t provide these kind of things.
  3. We want to reach maximum spots – both well-known and unknown attractions and tourist spots. It’s great to sell tickets to top spots in London or Paris, but also we want to cover thousands of less known, but not less interesting tourist attractions. And there are different types of travelers – one want to stay in queue for hour or two and take a great photo with Mona Lisa, other – just enjoy cup of coffee in quiet place. Also, top attraction systems already have ticket selling software in place, while some smaller places quite often can’t figure it out and Museuly will help them to digitize.
  4. A lot of attraction vendors already have ticketing system in place. But, it’s not enough – because still there is a problem with online marketing or exposure. Visitors can book tickets online, but how they will find your place? Lots of hotels also had own booking systems, until booking.com combined it with discovery platform.
  5. Mobile experience for things to do still isn’t there. There is not one app you can use to discover and book things to do with ease. Still, it’s a lot of hassle and research time.

These are just a few pain-points. And there are muuuch more. We will try to tackle them at museuly.
