The Royal Castle in Warsaw

The Royal Castle in Warsaw – Museum, a splendid former residence of Polish King and the seat of the Parliament.

Razed to the ground by the Nazis during World War II, the Castle was rebuilt in the 1970’s through the combined effort of all the Polish people. The ground floor houses the Gallery of Paintings, Sculpture and the Decorative Arts, the Lanckoronski Collection with two works of Rembrandt and the Former Deputies’ Chamber.

On the first floor you will have a chance to see the magnificent interiors of the last Polish king Stanislaw August as well as the Senators’ Chamber, where the Constitution of 3 May was adopted. The Tin-Roofed Palace houses the Apartments of Prince Józef Poniatowski and exhibition of oriental rugs.

We invite to the concerts and temporary exhibitions but in the spring and summer season to visit the Upper Garden.
